Head-On Crash Kills Both Drivers in Shiawassee County

A head-on crash early Sunday morning in Shiawassee County killed both drivers on impact. Michigan State Police at the Flint Post are investigating the crash, which they say was caused by a wrong-way driver.

Investigators said about 3:00 a.m., 20-year-old Arthur Moya of Battle Creek was driving eastbound in the westbound lanes of I-69 near Morrice Road, when he collided head-on with a vehicle driven by 32-year-old Ryan Laubhan of Saginaw. Both drivers died at the scene and had no passengers. State Police said both were wearing seatbelts, but alcohol may have been a factor in the crash.

Troopers were assisted at the scene by Perry Fire Department, Perry Police Department, Durand Police Department and Durand Fire Department.
