Four-Year-Old Shot in Saginaw

Police in Saginaw are investigating the shooting of a four-year-old boy on Friday, July 16. Police said the incident happened around 5:30 p.m. at a residence on Hampshire near Drexel. When officers arrived, they found the boy suffering from a gunshot wound.

On Monday, police said their investigation indicated the boy may have been shot accidentally by a family member.  They are continuing to interview witnesses and gather information.

As of Monday, the boy had been transferred to a hospital outside Saginaw for treatment. He was listed in critical, but stable condition.
