Crash Into Saginaw Children’s Zoo Results In Arrest, Animals Remain Contained

Authorities say no animals escaped after a driver crashed into the Saginaw Children’s Zoo Friday morning.

Police say the crash happened around 4:00 A.M. when a person drove into the zoo’s fence off Washington Avenue, which is connected to the wolf enclosure. Police were waiting with guns drawn in case any wolves tried to escape. After confirmation that the wolves were contained, law enforcement boarded up the fence.

The driver was taken into custody. The crash is under investigation.
