City of Midland and Midland County residents are encouraged to participate in an online survey on diversity and equity.

Last summer, after the death of George Floyd of Minneapolis was recorded and broadcast on social media, protests and riots erupted around the country. People also peacefully protested in the city of Midland. In response, city leaders posted to the city website a call to action titled We Hear You, which promised to take a hard look at ways the city could improve to make it welcoming to everyone.

The survey is a part of that process. It was developed in conjunction with researchers from Saginaw Valley State University for people to share their experiences. The results will be available to local government, elected officials, non-profit organizations and law enforcement agencies.
