Birch Run Twp. Man Dead After Fire, Car Missing

The Saginaw County Sheriff’s Department is investigating a fire and the death of a man in Birch Run Township.

The fire occurred Friday, October 15 around 9:45 a.m. at a home on S. Block Rd. belonging to 65-year-old Scott Englehardt. Fire crews found Englehardt’s body at the scene. Police say the victim’s car was missing from the home, a black 1998 Cadillac DeVille. They say the vehicle may have been stolen.
