Man Killed In Friday Saginaw Shooting

A man is dead following a shooting in Saginaw last Friday.

Police were sent to an area of Bay and Congress Streets around 10:30 P.M. where they say two suspects fled in a vehicle after an attempted traffic stop. The vehicle became disabled in a field near Holland and Outer Drive in Buena Vista Township, according to police, who gave a brief foot chase of the suspects before arresting them.

Two state troopers were injured in the chase and were treated at a local hospital. The 19-year-old victim of the shooting was taken to a local hospital where he died of his injuries.

The incident is under investigation by the Michigan State Police.
