The Bay County Health Department has released a telephone number to call to register for the COVID-19 vaccine in Bay County. The number is meant for those without computer or internet access. The health department’s preferred method of registration is still via the survey on their website: https://www.baycounty-mi.gov/Health/COVID19/

The telephone number to call to register for the COVID-19 vaccine in Bay County is 989-308-1828. Health department staff expect the number to be busy, but they advise leaving a message with your name and telephone number. Staff will return your call at the earliest available time to register you for the vaccine.

During your registration call, staff will collect your contact information, demographics, primary care provider, and your health insurance if you have it. Staff will not ask for private information such as social security numbers, or methods of payment. They will also inquire about other factors such as if you had a positive COVID-19 test, ever had a severe allergic reaction to a vaccine, etc. You should anticipate this call taking 10-15 minutes.

After you are registered, you will be added to the queue and combined with the registrations collected via the online survey. Staff from the Bay County Health Department will contact you separately to schedule your vaccine. The number the staff will be calling you from is the same as noted above.

As of today, Bay County has over 25,000 people in the queue to be vaccinated. There is a limited supply of vaccine that has been made available to the Bay County Health Department. They ask residents be patient as they work to get vaccines administered as soon as possible.
