Bay County Kids Return Found Bank Robbery Money
Two Williams Township kids are being praised for turning in a large amount of cash the found on the side of the road.
On January 22, the Fifth Third Bank in Bangor Township was robbed. Police in Pennsylvania arrested a suspect, Shane Gillette, the following day when Gillette reportedly told police about the robbery after a traffic stop. The suspect had discarded some of the money alongside a Williams Township road in a chip bag.
On January 25, 14-year-old Elizabeth Kunz and her brother, 12-year-old Aiden Kunz were cleaning trash along the road and found the bag, which was filled with about $1,000 in cash. They immediately turned the money over to their parents, who notified police.
The Bay County Sheriff’s Department commended the kids for outstanding behavior.
