Art Seen Festival Returns to Midland in June

The second annual Art Seen Festival will be held in Midland June 4-5. It’s a creative movement celebrating the public arts and mural-making as a way to bring more vibrancy to the community.

Community members will be able to help paint a mural on a wall at Ace Hardware in downtown Midland. A second mural will also be created on the same wall as last year’s mural, in the rear parking lot wall of Little Forks Outfitters. The festival will also feature live music, with acoustic performances by a variety of talented local musicians on Saturday and Sunday evenings, presented by The Blue Light Music Venue.

A call for artists to submit concepts for the murals is open through April 15th. For more information and to apply, visit: https://www.artseenfestival.com/

Members First Credit Union has sponsored one of the murals, but donations are still needed and can also be made on the website, and may include a t-shirt for limited time. The Art Seen Festival is a creative movement celebrating the public arts and mural making to bring more vibrancy to our community. Public art gives our community a collective voice and a way to express our values while bringing awareness of and beauty to our city’s physical and cultural landscape. This work aligns with our larger Midland County vision: Together, Forward, Bold. An exceptional place where everyone thrives.
