WSGW OnLine Poll: Third Political Party

Is now finally the time for a successful third political party, or at least, a presidential candidate not Republican or Democrat?

According to a Gallup poll, 63% of adults agree the Republican and Democratic parties do “such a poor job” of representing the American people that “a third major party is needed.”

Over the past two decades, majorities have typically agreed that a third party is needed. This is the highest percentage since Gallup first asked the question in 2003.

Political independents are most likely to favor a third party with 75% expressing this view.
Republicans poll at 58%. Democrats at 46%.

I would support a third party candidate – 44%
It doesn’t have to be an official third party, I would support any candidate not Republican or Democrat – 18%
