Who Knew False Eyelashes Were FDA Approved…..

NEW ORLEANS (AP) – Many false eyelashes sold in the U.S. are made abroad.   But an unusually large shipment of lashes caused customs agents in New Orleans to bat an eye.   The suspicions were eventually plain to see;   the 3,000 pairs of  lashes were illegally shipped from China to New Orleans, destined for a local beauty supply store.  

A customs official says fake lashes must be approved by the Food and Drug Administration, to be sure they hadn’t been exposed to disease or
insects, made with dangerous materials, or likely to cause allergies.
