Saginaw Township police officer Jeff Koenig has made a return to work at the department.

According to Chief Don Pussehl; Koenig is on administrative or “light” duty while still he continues to face other recovery measures and surgeries.

Keeping other aspects of his recovery personal, Pussehl says Koenig has expressed he’s glad to be back at work and even plans to make a full return to active duty.

Officer Koenig has been recovering since being shot in the face by Joshua Rosebush during a traffic stop near Bay & Tittabawassee roads in Saginaw Township on January 22nd, 2019.

Rosebush was convicted and will be serving a minimum of 75 years in prison.

Koenig officially returned to work last Friday, February 19th.
