Two Businesses Damaged in Tuscola County Fire

A fire tore through two businesses in Tuscola County Thursday morning.

Fire departments from around the Thumb responded to Center Street in Fairgrove, after Laetham Farm Services and Caro Snow Works building caught fire. Officials say because of a lack of fire hydrants, tanker trucks carried water from Akron and Caro to the scene. The Akron Fire Department warned residents that they may notice a loss in water pressure due to the amount of water being taken. While the fire was being extinguished, the roof and some of the walls of the building collapsed.

Fire investigators are working to determine was caused the fire.
