How about this Cyber Attack?!?! At least it’s not in the United States!
CANBERRA, Australia (AP): It wasn’t just massive, it was complete.
Australia’s largest health insurer says the cyberattack it experienced gave hackers access to personal data of all 4 million of its customers. Medibank also says “significant amounts of health claims data” were compromised in the breach.
The culprits have reportedly demanded ransom and have threatened to disclose diagnoses and treatments of high-profile customers.
At first, Medibank said the breach was thought to be limited to a subsidiary and to data on foreign students.
