STPS Hires New Athletic Director

Saginaw Township Public Schools has a new Athletic Director.

Kent Kraatz taught high school English and Social Studies for 21 years in the Standish-Sterling school district, and was Chair of the English Department and mentor for new teachers for many years. He holds a school administrator certificate and will and has also been chosen as the Heritage High School Assistant Principal.

Kraatz was an All-American football player at Saginaw Valley State University, coached football and track including four years as head football coach, and chaired several fundraising campaigns. He has coached numerous youth sports and currently serves as an assistant football coach at Heritage High School.

Kraatz will assume his new duties on October 11.
