(MNN) – DTE Energy customers are set to weigh in today… during a public hearing on the company’s 15-year energy plan.
This will be the first hearing to discuss the plan — which aims to expand energy efficiency, add more renewable energy sources, and cut down on emissions. But members of DTE Can Do Better — a coalition of community groups and environmental advocates — say the company needs to do more to help avert the climate crisis. They will be in attendance at the hearing today.
The coalition says DTE ranks 6th on the Toxic 100 Water Polluters Index and 7th when it comes to toxic air pollution.
