Fire Destroys Saginaw Home, No One Injured

No one was injured in a Saginaw house fire Sunday.

Fire crews responded to the 2600 block of Eddy St. just after 7:00 p.p. to find flames coming from an upper level of the home. Two residents managed to escape the fire safely.

Crews battled the fire for about 20 minutes. However, the home is considered a total loss. Investigators say the fire likely started in the chimney and spread throughout the rest of the upper floor. The cause remains under investigation.
