EPA to Conduct Five-Year Review of Velsicol Superfund Site

The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency is conducting a five-year review of the Velsicol Chemical Superfund site located in the city of St. Louis, MI.

The Superfund law requires regular checkups of sites that have been cleaned up or are in the process of being cleaned up, with waste managed on-site, to make sure the cleanup continues to protect people and the environment. The public is invited to ask questions or make comments by scheduling a time to meet with the Consensus Building Institute, a non-profit organization specializing in citizen engagement.

The meetings will be held at the Theodore Austin Cutler Memorial Library on May 31, June 1 and June 2 from 10:00 – 5:00. Open house hours are also available each day from 5:00 – 6:00. Call (617) 844-1124 to schedule a meeting.
