Clare County Woman Killed In Crash

Police in Clare County are investigating a Wednesday crash that claimed the life of a Farwell woman.
73-year-old Monica Weaver was driving a 2008 Jeep Liberty northwest on West Ludington Road west of Farwell just before 3:00 P.M., according to police, when the vehicle left the road and crashed into an unoccupied, parked car. Police say Weaver’s Jeep then crashed into the sign of Conlay’s Café.
Weaver was pronounced dead at the scene despite life saving efforts of first responders. The crash remains under investigation.
