Bay City Manager Dana Muscott has been tasked by City Commissioners to negotiate a proposed development agreement with United Bridge Partners, which would then be brought back to the Commission for final approval.
Muscott said after the Monday, August 5 meeting it’s unclear how long it would take to negotiate a deal. United Bridge Partners wants to take control of the Liberty and Independence Bridges. Tolls would be charged after construction of a new Independence span and the rehabilitation of Liberty Bridge.
American Roads and Kiewit also submitted proposals on the bridges.
