May means budget review time for Bay City Commissioners.

Issues discussed Monday, May 13 included possibly setting aside $180,000 to refurbish the old restrooms that are part of  the Wenonah Park stage. They’re now being used for storage. The restrooms would supplement facilities in the new pavilion building that have been targeted by vandals. Extra portable toilets would also be available for major events like the Tall Ships Celebration.

City officials say the general fund budget is balanced again with no layoffs and a continuation of existing programs and services. A final Commission budget vote is expected in June.
