Amos O’Neal Chosen for Leadership Training Program

State Representative Amos O’Neal is one of 40 lawmakers chosen to participate in the annual Bowhay Institute for Legislative Leadership Development (BILLD) training program.

The BILLD is named in honor of the late James Bowhay, longtime director of The Council of State Governments’ Midwestern Office. The goal of the organization is to assist and advance state government by providing research assistance, professional development opportunities, interstate consulting services and suggested state legislation. This program identifies and assists promising state leaders in the Midwest.

The conference includes courses and seminars conducted by policy experts, Midwestern legislative leaders and professional development trainers. More than 900 former lawmakers have taken part in the experience. The conference takes place August 27 – 31 in Madison, Wisconsin.
