Gratiot County Paraglider Crash Kills Man

A 73-year-old man died in Gratiot County Friday, May 13 in a paraglider crash.
Police say Stephen Goodell was flying the paraglider in an area above M-46 in Pine River Township when it began having mechanical trouble. Goodell crashed onto the road around 6:30 p.m. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police say alcohol doesn’t appear to be a factor in the crash, which is under investigation.
