WSGW OnLine Poll: The Time Change

In Spring 2022, the U.S. Senate unanimously passed the Sunshine Protection Act to make daylight saving time permanent. It would have started here in November 2023.

Except the U.S. House never did anything with the legislation. A 2023 version of the act has remained idle in Congress as well.

While many support the idea of no more time changes, not all are on board making daylight saving time permanent. There are those advocating standard time should be the permanent time.

POLL QUESTION: What time structure should there be in the United States?
Permanent Daylight Saving Time (more dark in morning and more light in evening) –  48%
Permant Standard Time (more light in morning and more dark in evening) –  49%
Leave the time changes as they are right now –  1%
I’m Not Sure –  2%
