The first presidential debate between President Biden and former President and now candidate Trump is scheduled for broadcast on CNN, June 27.
CNN says “moderators will use all tools at their disposal to enforce timing and ensure a civilized discussion”. Red lights will flash when five seconds are left in speaking time, turning solid red when time expires. Microphones will be muted to prevent speaking out of turn or time.
It will be the first time the two men appear together since a last debate in October 2020.
Neither has been part of any debate since that October 2020 debate.
