This legendary actress and singer is 84-years-old and is involved in several activities…..

LOS ANGELES (AP) – For all of Julie Andrews’ accomplishments, a recent one is quite dear to her.   She’s had a rose named after her.   Andrews says the Julie Andrews rose is coming soon.   She says it’s “beautiful.”

Andrews says she enjoys her garden and she has no desire to get in front of a camera. She does some voice work, and she jokes that it’s because she does not have to put on makeup.

Andrews will do a guest programming slot on Turner Classic Movies.   Starting October 29, Andrews will provide introductions for
“Thoroughly Modern Millie,“ ”Victor/Victoria“ and “That’s Life!“ on TCM.

She also has a new book, “Home Work: A Memoir of My Hollywood Years,” out this week.   Andrews says there is enough material for a third memoir, but she isn’t ready to commit yet.

Look!   It’s not a new video game, it’s a new board game!!!

UNDATED (AP) – Got 30 minutes to kill?

It’s enough time to play the new Kenny G board game.   “Keeping It Saxy” is a cooperative game for two to five players
with the object of keeping Kenny cool through a hectic day.

According to the game description, players will play sound cards to help Kenny “overcome uncool events, detangle his luscious locks, and avoid rush hour traffic without missing a brassy beat.”   It sells for $20 and it’s available now.

Tiger’s New Book…..

Add a new title to Tiger Woods’ resume following an announcement Tuesday that he will author a memoir with HarperCollins Publishers.

“Back” will be published across all HarperCollins global locations and is being billed as “a candid and intimate narrative of an outsize American life.”

“I’ve been in the spotlight for a long time, and because of that, there have been books and articles and TV shows about me, most filled with errors, speculative and wrong,” Woods said in a statement. “This book is my definitive story. It’s in my words and expresses my thoughts. It describes how I feel and what’s happened in my life. I’ve been working at it steadily, and I’m looking forward to continuing the process and creating a book that people will want to read.”

No publication date for “Back” was given.
