Times Square is Getting Ready for the Ball Drop…..
NEW YORK (AP) – There will be very few people around to see it in person, but workers are putting the finishing touches on the huge ball that will drop in Times Square on New Year’s Eve.
Workers have installed 192 Waterford crystal triangles on the famous 12-foot sphere. As if that wasn’t enough bling, the ball
with be bathed in 32,356 LED lights.It will begin its descent at 11:59 p.m., minus the huge crowds that usually pack Times Square. The area will be cleared and viewers are urged to watch on TV instead as 2021 rolls in.
