LOS ANGELES (AP) – Little Richard’s longtime drummer has died. Charles Connor died Saturday while in hospice care in Glendale, California. Connor’s daughter says he had a disorder that causes fluid to build up in brain.
While best known for playing for Little Richard, Connor also performed with other music greats including James Brown, Jackie Wilson, Sam Cooke, and the original Coaster.
Charles Connor was 86.
