In this 21st Century year of 2018, Pat found something we thought amusing.   Rolling Stone Magazine has published its picks of “Top Songs of the 21st Century – So Far”.   Here are the Top 10  (runs 8:40)

(in a related note to the music referenced above…..)

COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) – Imagine getting the equivalent of a hall pass – signed by Beyonce and Jay-Z.   Students at some South Carolina schools have that- because the entertainers are performing nearby later this month.   Officials with a school district near Columbia, South Carolina, say students will be let out early on Aug. 21 – because of the couple’s scheduled concert that night.   Officials are worried that buses leaving at the usual time could get caught in heavy traffic headed to the show.   The “On the Run II” concert will be at the University of South Carolina’s football stadium. It holds 80,000 people.

Wake Up Song of the Day:    The Doors “Hello, I Love You“.   It’s the Friday Flashback Song!   We “Flash Back” in 10-20-30-40-50 year increments to find Number One Songs at this time that are still remembered today, along with the artists and groups that perform.   Or, Number One Songs that are long forgotten, along with the artists and groups that perform.   On this date, The Doors were Number One for 2 weeks, 50 years ago in 1968.
