Wake Up Song of the Day:     The Ataris “Boys of Summer”.   It’s a “One Hit Wonder Monday” song!   For our purposes, defined as a singer or group known for only one song to chart on the U.S. Billboard Top 40.   Or, even if a second song is on the chart, it is overwhelmed and generally forgotten because of the success of the “One Hit Wonder”.   In 2003, The Ataris released their cover of Don Henley’s “Boys of Summer” from 1984.   This punk rock band from Anderson, Indiana.   The name came from founding member Kristopher “Kris” Roe and his large collection of Atari video game cartridges.    He’s been the only constant member since the band formed in 1996.
