WSGW Honors Veterans Day with YOU

We play the Armed Forces Medley as Our “Song of the Day”

We play Toby Keith “American Soldier”:

Toby was a patriot who supported the military throughout his career.   He died earlier this year.   “American Soldier” was #1 on the Country Chart for 4 weeks 20 years ago in 2024.

While Toby sings about the “Soldier”, we believe it’s with the same spirit for Sailors, Airmen, Marines, Coast Guardsmen, and Guardians.

We read the messages to Veterans we receive each year from Miss Yoder’s 5th Grade Class at North Ithaca Elementary School.

For years, Miss Yoder has had her 5th Grade Class write these messages.   She sends them to us and we read them on-air:
