Wake Up Song of the Day:     Louis Armstrong “Hello, Dolly!”   It’s the Friday Flashback Song!   We “Flash Back” in 10-20-30-40-50-60-70 year increments to find Number One Songs at this time that are still remembered today, along with the artists and groups that perform.   Or, Number One Songs that are long forgotten, along with the artists and groups that perform.   In 1964, for one week, Satchmo was #1 with this song that was the title song of the popular musical of the same name.   The song was released the same month the musical opening in New York City.   He won Grammy’s for Song of the Year and Male Vocal Performance.   “Hello, Dolly” was the most successful single of Armstrong’s career.   It also made him the oldest artist ever to reach number number one at the age of 62. When he hit #1, he ended The Beatles streak of three straight #1 songs spanning 14 consecutive weeks (“I Want to Hold Your Hand”, “She Loves You”, “Can’t Buy Me Love”).
