Wake Up Song of the Day:     Kenny Loggins “Footloose”.   It’s the Friday Flashback Song!   We “Flash Back” in 10-20-30-40-50-60-70 year increments to find Number One Songs at this time that are still remembered today, along with the artists and groups that perform.   Or, Number One Songs that are long forgotten, along with the artists and groups that perform.   In 1984, Kenny was #1 for three weeks with “Footloose” from the successful movie of the same name.   Kenny co-wrote and co-produced the song.   It was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Original Song, but lost to Stevie Wonder’s “I Just Called to Say I Love You” from The Woman in Red.   This was one of four songs Kenny charted in the Top Ten from a movie soundtrack.   The other three were “I’m Alright” from Caddyshack, “Danger Zone” from Top Gun, and “Nobody’s Fool” from Caddyshack II.   “Footloose” is Kenny’s only #1 song.
