Women Injured in Clare County After Box Explodes

State police and the FBI are investigating an explosion in Clare County’s Grant Township.
Police say around 12:30 p.m. Tuesday, October 26, two women, ages 44 and 27, were at a storage facility with one of the women holding a box. It isn’t known what the box contained, but it exploded in the woman’s hands.
One of the women suffered ear injuries while the other received injuries to her leg. They were able to take themselves to MidMichigan Medical Center in Clare. The investigation is ongoing.
