Woman’s Midland County Home Destroyed In Fire, No One Hurt

A fire completely destroyed a home in Midland County Sunday.

Fire crews responded to a house on Sturgeon Road north of Baker Road in Mills Township around 1:40 P.M. where the fire was raging. A cause of the fire has not been listed, though officials say urethane foam insulation in the walls acted as an accelerant, causing the fire to spread rapidly from the garage, breezeway and attic.

A passerby who reported the fire helped the female resident evacuate. No injuries were reported.
