Woman to Be Charged In Another Woman’s Murder In Flint

A woman is awaiting arraignment in the Genesee County Jail for killing another woman early Sunday morning in Flint.

Police were called to the Marathon gas station at 7022 North Saginaw Street around 1:45 A.M. for a report of a shooting. They discovered the victim, 20-year-old Isis Walker, suffering from at least one gunshot wound. Walker was taken to a local hospital, where she died of her injuries.

Police were able to locate the 28-year-old suspect in her home later in the day. While she has not been formally charged, prosecutors have been authorized to charge her with first-degree premeditated murder, which carries a life sentence without the possibility of parole.

Police also continue to search for another suspect in a second homicide in Flint that night, which occurred in another Marathon gas station on Saginaw Street around 11:00 P.M.
