Woman Charged in Death of Child Found in Trash Bag

An Oscoda woman has been charged with one count of Felony Murder and one count of First Degree Child Abuse in the death of a 3-year-old child. The Iosco County Prosecutor issued the charges against Justine Marie Johnson after Oscoda Township Police responded to a home to investigate reports of a child’s foot seen sticking out of a trash bag. Officers found the body, which had multiple stab wounds,.
Johnson has pleaded not guilty to the charges, and is being held in the Iosco County Jail without bond.
