Vassar Public Schools Delay Opening

Vassar Public Schools are delaying the start of the school year due to construction.

The year, slated to start September 3, will now begin September 16. Vacation times during the year have been moved to accommodate for the late start. Winter break starts December 20 as a half day and returns January 6. Spring break begins March 20 as a half day and returns March 30. The summer feeding program will continue through Friday, Sept. 13. Students who attend the Tuscola Technology Center will be provided busing starting Aug. 26.

It isn’t known at this time when next year’s summer break will begin as the district is in negotiations with the Vassar Education Association.
