Flint Bishop International Airport is receiving funding from the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law to make upgrades to the airport’s terminal.
The nearly $2 million grant, awarded by the Federal Aviation Administration, will provide new gate counters, ticket counters, and information displays as well as construct a new 6,000-foot service road and add a taxilane.
Congressman Dan Kildee, who helped secure the funding, says local airport upgrades can connect Michigan families to the rest of the world and ensure small businesses can ship their products around the globe.
