Unofficial Election Results for November 7, 2023

In Tuesday’s general election, a number of issues were decided around the region:

Coleman Community Schools Bond Proposal – 675 yes, 724 no
Jasper Township Fire Millage – 97 yes, 33 no
Gladwin County Public Safety Millage – 3276 yes, 2733 no
Beaverton Schools Operating Millage – 1339 yes, 771 no
Montrose Community Schools Bond Proposal – 435 yes, 240 no
Kingston Schools Bond Proposal – 275 yes, 307 no
Bad Axe Schools Bond Proposal – yes 459, no 337

The Saginaw Chippewa Indian Tribe held its general election Tuesday also, electing members for the new Tribal Council. 10 people were elected out of a field of 20 for District 1, Ronald Nelson will represent District 2 with 11 votes, and Frank Cloutier retains his seat in District 3 with 152 votes.

The newly elected Tribal Council of twelve will be sworn in during the Tuesday, December 5, 2023 Regular Session Meeting.
