Two men will spend between 12 years and life in prison for their role in the killing of a Birch Run man more than 2 years ago.
22-year-old Nolan Croton and 25-year-old Kyle Bostic were part of a group of 5 people that went to the home of 65-year-old Scott Engelhardt on October 15, 2021. The group reportedly intended on stealing the wheelchair-bound Englehardt’s drugs, but he was shot in the head by 23-year-old Jordan Schmitzer, who later returned to set the home on fire. Schmitzer was sentenced to life behind bars last month on multiple felony charges including murder and arson.
Court dates have been scheduled for the two remaining defendants: Faith Lord and Jordan Harrison.
