Two Council Members Reelected to Saginaw City Council, Four New Members Elected

Voters in Saginaw voted on a number of city council seats during Tuesday’s election.

Council members Bill Ostash and Monique Lamar-Silvia will retain their seats, while Eric Braddock, Sr., Jacinta Seals and Heidi Wiggins were elected, all to four-year terms. Council members Annie Boensch and George Copeland, Jr. were not reelected. Council member Michael Flores did not seek reelection.

Elected for a partial two-year term was Carly Hammond, who replaces outgoing Council member Reggie Williams. Williams had decided not to run for reelection prior to the August 6 primary, but afterward changed his mind, running as a write-in candidate.

Remaining on the Council are members Michael Balls, Priscilla Garcia and Mayor Brenda Moore, all whose terms are up in 2026.
