Two-Car Crash Leaves Baby in Critical Condition
A 3-month-old boy was in critical condition at Covenant HealthCare after a 2-car crash on Dixie near Woodland Court in Bridgeport Township.
Police said it happened about 12:51 Monday afternoon, when a white Chevrolet Impala that had been reported stolen in Flint, pulled out of the Bridgeport Trailer Park at 5948 Dixie, and collided with a Saturn Ion.
Police said a 38-year-old Saginaw woman driving the Impala was suspected of being under the influence of drugs. She was listed in stable condition at Covenant HealthCare. A 29-year-old man from Bridgeport was driving the Ion with his 3-month old son as a passenger, who was critically injured. Information on the father’s condition was unavailable.
Bridgeport Township Police said once the investigation is complete, they will send a report to the Saginaw County Prosecutor’s office to review for possible charges.
