The Great Giant Supermarket in Saginaw held the first ever Trunk-or-Treat on the Supermarket parking lot on the night of Oct. 23. Children dressed up as police officers, princesses, athletes and other costumes in order to receive their candy. The event was organized by Saginaw Mayor Pro-Tem Brenda Moore, Saginaw County Commissioner Sheldon “Snap” Matthews and the Great Giant Supermarket.

On Oct. 15, Moore was awarded with a certificate of recognition for being named the first black female president of the Michigan Municipal League.
