Tornado Touches Down In Gladwin County

A tornado was confirmed to have touched down in Gladwin County over the weekend.

The National Weather Service says an EF-1 tornado, with peak wind speeds of up to 90 miles an hour and a maximum width of 200 yards, touched down on Saturday around 4:05 P.M. about nine miles north/northeast of the city of Gladwin. The tornado traveled on the ground for about 10 miles, ending at 4:27 P.M. Trees were damaged along the tornado’s path, though there’s currently no word on any structures damaged.

There were no injuries reported.
