Three Injured in Saginaw Township Crash

Three people were injured in a traffic crash on Gratiot at St. Andrews Rd. in Saginaw Township Monday, August 26.

Police and fire personnel responded to the scene just before 2:30 p.m. Investigators said an eastbound Ford Ranger truck crossed into the westbound lanes of Gratiot and hit a Volkswagon SUV. The pickup driver had to be extricated from the vehicle and was taken to a local hospital with serious injuries. The SUV driver and a passenger had less serious injuries, but were also taken to the hospital.

A portion of Gratiot was closed for a period of time following the crash.
