SVSU to Rename Health Building After Outgoing President

Saginaw Valley State University is honoring its outgoing president with a building renaming.

In June, the SVSU Board of Control approved changing the name of the Health and Human Services Building to Bachand Hall, named for Presiedent Donald Bachand, who has served as president since 2014. The 90,000 square foot facility houses the Crystal M. Lange College of Health and Human Services. Two of Bachand’s former students are returning to offer remarks: Ron Bacon, mayor of East Lansing; and Patrick McInnis, former CEO of Fathead LLC. Congressman Dan Kildee will also be in attendance.

The bulding renaming ceremony takes place October 3 at 10:00 A.M.
