Suspected Meth Dealer Arrested in Tuscola County

Police in Tuscola County have arrested a man they believe was delivering methamphetamine to the Caro area from Flint.

Police say 59-year-old Shawn Jefferson was arrested Friday, January 15 after a traffic stop where they discovered what’s describe as a “substantial quantity” of the drug. Police say Jefferson was on his way to the Caro area at the time of the traffic stop.

Jefferson faces 20 years in prison on a charge of possession and a charge of distribution or manufacturing meth. He also is charged in an unrelated case with receiving and concealing stolen property.

The investigation is handled by the Caro Police Department and the Thumb Narcotics Unit.
