Suspect Arrested in Saginaw Murder Case

Police in Saginaw arrested a suspect in the death of a 62-year-old man on Saturday.
Willie Barnes, the victim, was shot to death in his home on Harold Street last Thursday, Saginaw’s third homicide of 2024. Police initially reported the suspect as armed and dangerous, but they were arrested without incident on charges of open murder, felony firearm and probation violation.
The suspect is in the Saginaw County Jail awaiting arrignment.
