The state Department of Health and Human Services is asking residents in Bay, Saginaw and Midland counties to answer their phones, even if they don’t immediately recognize the number of the caller.

Health officials say there is a free vaccine clinic occurring at Delta College Saturday and Sunday, March 6 and 7, from 10:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. Members of the health department and the Michigan National Guard are calling residents age 65 and older. Some calls will be from the number (866) 806-3447, which is the MI COVID Help Line, while the Michigan National Guard uses a 517 area code.

Officials say if you receive a call from either area code, it will likely not be a robocall but to schedule you for the clinic. The clinic will have a drive through option and vaccinations held inside.
